How to report your classroom uses

What should you report

Be sure to report any content from the Copibec repertoire that you have photocopied, scanned or displayed onscreen, including all content use falling within the limits of the agreement between Copibec and the education sector.

In other words, even if you don't exceed the limits of the agreement, you still have to declare your uses.

If you’d like to use an excerpt that exceeds the specified limits, you’ll need to get permission first.

Type of documents not to be declared

  • All materials (notebooks, textbooks, novels) purchased by the school or students, of which they each have a copy.
  • Reproducible or licensed material.

Examples: Material from sites such as Mieux Enseigner, Le jardin de Vicky, Les éditions de l'envolée, TeachersPayTeachers, material or worksheets published by school publishers sold with reproduction licenses.

  • Material coming from platforms.

For example: Biblius, OHdio jeunesse, Télé-Québec en classe, i+ and Epik.

Examples: audio and video sites, blogs, web pages.

*magazine and newspaper articles and song lyrics, taken from the web, must be declared.
